Review Icon Airframe Claymore Helmet 2009 Model
Claymores. They used to string them up in the trees. Wicked little bitches with a “This side towards enemy” tag. Perhaps you feel the same. Slam the ‘clacker’ three times just to make sure. Boom. Everything is cool once again.

Icon Airframe Claymore Helmet
The design and appearance of this helmet can’t be beat. It gets hot in Alabama, and I’ve been impressed with the air flow in this helmet. I plan on purchasing another one in a different color. If this helmet appeals to you, it is definitely worth the price.

Great Lid
Great Lid
So I bought this helmet mainly for the graphics, the slayer color scheme matches my bike and jacket perfectly. It has turned out to be a pretty good helmet. The first one I got I took the visor off and a plastic piece broke. Since I wasn’t able to put the visor back on, I sent it back and received another one. This one has worked just fine. Maybe it was just that one, but make sure if you take the visor off you are careful with it anyways. Airflow is pretty good, not too noisy. It’s definitely comfortable.

Good Lid
Needless to say–the helmet itself is a pleasure to look at. Fits true to size for the most part–the cheek pads can be snug at times but you can always take those out. The wicking textile liner and the airflow design work well with each other for a dry and cool head. It can be noisy at higher speeds, but it’s not that bad. Aside from that, the lid is good and definitely recommended.

Works very well
Fits great. I upgraded from a pretty cheap GMax that I bought a couple of years ago. This was my first one piece full face helmet so it took a little getting used to and maybe 3 or 4 days to break in and be really comfy. Wind noise is kinda high though, defiantly have to wear ear plugs, with the GMax it wasn’t such a big deal.

Great Helmet
This Helmet is wonderful. Venting is really good, your head doesn’t get too hot while riding on hot days, and with the vents closed it keeps your head warm on cold mornings. Fog free face shield works really well, it hasn’t fogged up on me yet. Face shields are fairly easy to swap out too. All in all this is a great helmet. NO complaints about it yet.

high performance…great price
I purchased the Claymore Slayer, the color is purely intense. Absolutely love the deep red with the black background. Great fit and feel to the helmet, lots of venting keeps my head cool on the warm days, the chin deflector keeps me warm on the cold mornings. Although I was told by a local rep it had high flow at even city cruising speeds, I have not noticed that. I tend to ride with the visor up until I hit 40+ to get air flow. All in all a great helmet, another good quality product from ICON.
